Kingston scores national soccer coup
Posted By PATRICK KENNEDY WHIG-STANDARD SPORTS REPORTER - September 30, 2008Last month, Quarry Sportsplex owner Krista Swackhammer summoned a representative from Field Turf to obtain a quote for a proposed new indoor soccer pitch.
She got the quote and a little something extra - namely appearances by Canadian soccer stars Christine Sinclair and Jim Brennan.
The Division Street sports dome will be one of two Canadian sites for the first two Future Footballers Clinics, a national grassroots soccer training and development program.
